Aquaculture is today’s fastest growing food producing sector in the world. On the local front, Aqua Ceria Sdn Bhd is one of the well established marine fish farming companies in Malaysia. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of Aqua Ceria Group (ACG) which comprises Aqua Ceria Sdn Bhd, Sun East Fish Food Sdn Bhd and DTS Marine Fish Products Sdn Bhd. Aqua Ceria was established in 2005 by the founder– Mr. Lee You who has over 27 years of experience in marine farming. As a fish lover with expert know-how in marine farming, he developed Aqua Ceria with the support of his family members. He aspires to develop the company with an aim to meet the increasing local market demand and reduce dependency on foreign imported fish.

Reliance on commercial fishing from wild resources could not sustain the growing consumer demand. Many wild fish stocks that were once aplenty are now over fished. With these present market predicaments on hand, Aqua Ceria fish farming offers an alternative long term solution that is sustainable and without compromising on food safety, quality and taste – this is our commitment.

Being committed to aquaculture farming, to us, means boosting consumer confidence in top product quality while ensuring timely harvesting and distribution of fresh seafood products.

Aqua Ceria’s yearly output volume is set at 250 ton per annum. We are also working closely with associate aqua farmers to supply them with fingerlings and omega rich feed. Upon maturity, we will buy back the fish harvest from our associates aqua farmer to export to oversea market such as China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other parts of Asia Pacific.

Our Aquaculture Farm In Langkawi

Aquaculture is totally dependent on the quantity and quality of water available. As such, we put high priority in the study and consideration of water source, which has to undergo a thorough chemical analysis prior to being employed in our project. This ensures that the water source is low in chemicals such as arsenic, boron, fluoride and other elements, which could be harmful to the survival and quality of farmed fish.

Aqua Ceria’s marine fish farm is based at Langkawi – an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. Pulau Langkawi, the main island, is a strictly no heavy industry island. The water has a salinity level of 30 to 36psu and water temperature of 24°C to 32°C, which is most suitable for aquaculture farming.

Floating Cage System

Presently, Aqua Ceria owns 720 cages measuring 5m x 6.5m / 16’ x 20’ which are placed in the open sea to rear and harvest marine fish. The advantages of cage system are:
• Many types of fish can be farmed
• Supplements the fish crop with sufficient oxygenated water in natural surrounding
• Non-intrusive operation allows fish farming to co-exist with surrounding eco-system and water uses.

• Tiger Grouper
• Green Grouper
• Giant Grouper (Asian Cod)
• Red Snapper
• Barramundi (Asian Seabass)

Quality Feeds

Instead of feeding our fish crop with substandard ‘trash fish’, quality Omega Rich tm fish feeds which are high in protein with a balanced amino acid composition are used to ensure top quality yield. R&D has been done to get the performance of fish in term of taste and quality.
